Knoll Gardens
The goal of the Knoll Garden Classroom program is to provide a hands-on life science experience using the garden to allow each class access to the common core standards of life science. The gardens program has been able to provide every student with the opportunity to use core curriculum skills to engage in real-life lessons. Every year we plant a winter crop and a summer crop. The additional raised beds are planted with vegetables and fruit that are used in the lessons on cooking and nutrition. The gardens consists of a water conservation area, compost areas, raised garden beds, and a garden classroom area.
Students attend garden once a week for 7 weeks in the fall and once a week for 7 weeks in the spring as part of the Enrichment Classes
